TACO SALAD

INGREDIENTS:
1 lb of lean ground beef. NOTE: "veggie" ground beef can be substituted
1 head of lettuce (chopped small). Use 1/2 of head, if large.

2 tomatoes chopped small

1 onion chopped small

1 green pepper chopped small

1 packet of taco mix.

1 (small) bottle of Russian dressing

1 bag of cheese Doritos (nacho chips) - crushed to bite-size pieces.

Shredded cheese (optional)

 


DIRECTIONS:
Brown ground beef * in large pan. Add taco mix while browning. Remove from heat. Drain any fat and let cool.

Add chopped onions, tomato, green pepper and Russian dressing. Toss together like a regular salad.

Store in refrigerator, until ready to serve.

 

SERVING DIRECTIONS:

Add chopped lettuce, crushed Doritos (nacho chips) and shredded cheese.

 

Give it one last toss and it's ready to serve!

 

 

* If you use "veggie" beef, add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water in your frying pan, along with your taco mix. Cook until veggie meat is in small little pieces and the water has evaporated.
