BOEUF BOURGUIGNON

Cubes of meat (steak, etc.)
Flour
Seasonings: Salt and Pepper
Onions
Butter
Mix flour and seasonings together. Rub or roll meat with the flour mixture. Brown in a frying pan, with butter and onions.

After browned, add:
Sliced fresh Mushrooms
Wine (red) or cooking sherry
Cup of Water (aprox.)

In a (oven-proof) casserole dish, add:
Diced potatoes
Diced carrots

Let cook for aprox. 2 hours (slowly). Check your "liquids" from time to time. Add water, if mixture begins to dry up.
Just before serving, add:
1 pint of cream

Serve with hot rolls, or a French Baquette and a glass of red wine.
