My Favorite "Geocaching" Links
(Updated: 1st July 2006)
I got tired of hunting around on my desktop for my favorite links and having a BIG LIST, in my "Favorite Folders".
Also, when I wasn't in front of MY computer, how do I find a certain link?!?
So, I thought: "Hey, I can create a Web Page - I know how to do THAT - and share it with others, too!"
If you have any special links that you think I might like, or enjoy, or might want to see on here,
please send me an email! *s*

Informative Sites
| There is where I usually start off, looking for a cache, in my area! | |
| Maritime Geocaching Association (MGA) |
I think every locality has their own "group" or "association", but I'm sure they can't be beat these "guys"!. Everyone's nice and friendly and there's ALL SORTS of information, to help you with your "caching"! |
Okay, who says "numbers" don't count?!?... LOL Cache Statistics for New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. (Pssss... I'm on page 26 and can say that I've done 100 caches!!! *s*) |
| Atlantic Canada Geocaching |
Another forum, for Geocachers in Atlantic Canada. |
| This guy's site is just plain INFORMATIVE and INTERESTING!!! | |
If you wish to create your own "Signature Item", or whatever. Useful information. |
| Geocacher University |
Another interesting site, and you can send Geocaching e-cards, from here, too! |
Earth Cache |
Interlinked with "Geocaching" and "Waypoints". |
WayMarking: Where all the "virtual" and "locationless" caches have gone. Unfortunately, I don't believe you get "credit", on your Geocaching profile, for these. But it's still fun, anyhow. *s* |
| Geoteaming |
This site will explain how you can organize a "Geocaching Event", at your work place, for motivational purposes. |
| Widgets on Yahoo! |
This site was posted on the MGA forum. Haven't had a chance to see what it actually does, but it's on my "To Do" list... and the others cachers seemed to like it. |
(9 March 2006) |
Online magazine, for Geocachers. You can pay to register and have FULL access to the e-zine, and other stuff, but a lot of it is free and interesting! NOTE: I submitted an article last November, and it was published on their site! |
(9 March 2006) |
An article published in "Today's Cacher". The first person they write about, is one of our local cachers - |
(16 April 2006) |
Neat videos! Lots of information!!! |
Mr.HomeBrew & ~Sugar~ 's Web Site (16 April 2006) |
Okay, I'm biased. This is my son & his girlfriend's home page. He's got Geocaching stuff on there and since it's still a fairly new web site, he changes it pretty regularly. Plus, he recently found a hand grenade, near a cache - the story's on his page. *s* |

For "Newbies" and "Oldies", too!
(16 April 2006)
Written by "Thot" - VERY INFORMATIVE and VERY WELL EXPLAINED!!!. |
This page tells you what is acceptable or isn't acceptable, when you decide to "hide" your own cache.

Ideas for Puzzle Caches
(Yes, I know I'm giving you all my future cache ideas,
but I thought I'd share, anyhow...
Plus, I'm not telling you EXACTLY how to make or create your puzzle. That's for you to figure out!
Now, read and go hide some good puzzle caches! LOL)
(16 April 2006)
Spell out the coords, with a "name". |
Just like the title says! |
Anyone remember when "Pig Latin" was the "in" thing? If you answer "yes", then I can pretty well guess your age! LOL |
Here's another idea... Plus, you can add ALL sorts of mathematical equations... Remember, you do what you want with these suggestions! *s* |
Don't know if you can do anything with this - but I thought the idea pretty intriguing, nevertheless. |
If you like "puzzles", then you should visit this web page! I could spend HOURS surfing this guy's page! |
Dunno if you can figure out a way to use this, but I found this site HIGHLY entertaining! |
We've used this one, before and it's REAL EASY and fun! |
Metric to Imperial (or vice versa) |
There's plenty of sites out there that can help you. Ideas? A cooking recipe, fabric for sewing curtains, a road trip written in miles or kilometers? Instructions to construct a birdhouse(?) in feet or inches? Or just write a story with these measurements and the person has to figure them out. Have fun! |
Here's another idea that you might be able to create a neat puzzle ache! |
I was going to make this one... And I still might, someday. In the meantime - Have Fun & Good luck! And NO, I won't tell you how I was going to create a puzzle! LOL |

Mapping and Other Neat Programs
GPS Coordinate Converter, Maps and Info. |
Another good spot for maps! |
This has got to be one of the neatest programs!!! You can view the ENTIRE planet... Can't explain it - it's just TOO KEWL!!! *s* |

Trackables
![]() |
"Canada's First Geocache" Coin!!!! The first CANADIAN cache was placed on June 28th, 2000 - And there's supposed to be a "Geocaching Event", planned around that time, THIS SUMMER, with the possibility of a bronze plaque to be placed at that site! Kewl, eh? Coins are available through: These coins are "limited edition" and are only $10 - the cost of 6 medium Tim Horton's coffees! LOL (Plus shipping, of course...) At this point, you have to "pre-order" and once again, once they're all sold out - it'll be too late! *s*
Don't hesitate on picking up a couple of these beauties - otherwise, you'll kick your "cache behind" that you didn't! LOL |
These coins are cannot be logged as a regular coin, with Geocaching.com, unfortunately. They have their own separate web site.
Our own GEOCOINS!!!! And they're "trackable"!!! I don't think they have any left, but you can write to them and have your name put on a waiting list - "if" and "when" they do order more. NOTE: We got 3 of them, but are hesitant to place them in a cache. They're just soooo gorgeous!!! *s* |
A web page, with a lot of "Signature Items" and stuff. |
Another interesting web page. |
FREE - Get your own "Traveler Tags - Something like TBs (Travel Bugs), only they're not "trackable", with Geocaching. Still fun, nevertheless. |
This is like a Traveler Tag. Le tigre & I each one, on the go. You can select the language of your choice and, once again, it's FREE and once again, it's NOT "trackable" with Geocaching. And once again, it's fun, nevertheless. |
On this site, you can post your MIA (Missing In Action) Travel Bug. Should your TB ever "come back to life/light", when the cacher logs it as a "find", it will get pulled out of this "cemetery". |

Neat Caches and Events
A web page for those that can't make it outside, due to weather, etc. Haven't done any yet, but I thought this was a neat site! *s* |
This cache has since been "archived" but it's still a neat cache idea!!! |
I liked the idea to this cache. I tried doing something similar here but unfortunately, our "Cache Agent" couldn't approve it. :-( |
This is like a "special" event. Like a "group effort" to try and clean our parks, beaches, etc. |
One of my favorite caches!!! Hope you get a change to try it out. It'll make you smile, for sure! |
First cache ever placed in CANADA!!! And it's in Nova Scotia!!! |
Don't Tell My Wife I'm Out Geocaching (9 March 2006) |
Okay, this is not a cache, but another Cacher submitted this to me. TeamPearce wrote it and I thought it was HILARIOUS !!! Turn your speakers up! |
(9 March 2006) |
Haven't done this cache yet, as it's a distance from our place, but it's on our "To Do" list. I just thought the write-up was hilarious, and some of it has come back to "haunt" me... LOL |
(5 April 2006) |
Well, this is a new concept - Well, at least it was to me.
but detailed in the "Geo-Post Office's" cache pages.
I'm trying to add all the Geo-Post Offices that are being listed in the Maritime area, to help cachers with pick-ups and drop-offs.
If there are more Geo-Post Offices being posted and they're not listed here, send me an email, and I'll add it on the list. *s*

A place to shop, for cachers. Once again, the service is INCREDIBLE and the people are SUPER nice. The shop is located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada - We hope to make it there, in person, some day! *s* |
A lot of neat stuff, for sale. I especially like the different T-Shirts they have, for Geocachers! (See: Geocacher Defined - That's a Hoot!!! LOL) |

Lots of neat coins and pins, for sale !! |
