Day 27 (Sunday, 2 September 2007) |
Up early and since Gilbert "had" said he would stop renovations until we got back from vacation, I wasn't expecting to do anything, in "that" department, today.
Noon time rolls around and he announces that we should head off to the hardware/wood supply store and pick up some shelves and "strapping", to work on my fabric closet. *sigh*
Okay, I'm kinda excited and YES, things need to move but I had planned on sewing today. *simultaneous groan and sigh*
Off to the store, we go.... |
First shelf installed. He's using "melamine". We figured it would be easier and cheaper than buying a large planks of wood and painting them. |
All shelves are installed. Here you can see the "strapping" that isn't
painted, yet. So, he removed the shelves and painted the "strapping".
Here's Gilbert, painting the "strapping".
Another picture of Gilbert, painting.

I'm writing up this web page, Tuesday, 4 September 2007. I've already started
to sort through my fabric containers and started placing them on the shelves....
slowly, but surely. *s* Now, FINALLY, it's starting to look like a sewing room. *s* |
