Day 21

 (Sunday 12 August 2007)

It seems like this job isn't going very fast. Every now and then, I have to go to our 1st page and encourage myself. *sigh*

Anyhow, once more Gilbert putters around, filling in spots that Gerry the Plaster Guy missed and studies what needs to be done and does a lot of muttering to himself. Once he starts muttering, that's when I usually do an "exit stage left" trick and go hide and try to do some sewing. *grin*

Yesterday, he finished painting the door frame, the window and the useless (now covered) window, over the door. He also decided to paint our electrical box, outside.... as it was all rusted.

Hope the electrical company doesn't mind. *grin*

Our old wooden door that he removed?  Well, today, he cut it up and it should fit nicely in a cardboard box, ready for garbage day.

No, this has nothing to do with my sewing room, but I thought I'd share anyhow.

Front of the house was overgrown with .. well, with green stuff.

Gilbert decided that enough was enough. Soooo... he got out the clippers and I had the heavy duty gloves on....

Into the garbage can, the extra greenery went!

Now, we can see a bit of the railroad ties.  Yes, they need to be repainted.

He didn't mention it, and neither did I!  *grin*

Today, was an EXTREMELY hot day.

Gilbert had started to put some primer on the walls, when he realized that there were places where he forgot to either put caulking or more "mud".

Another picture, with a little bit of primer painted on.

More mud touch-ups and puttering, along with the "muttering" was done. Gilbert decided to finish early, as it was a hot one.

Sat outside and relaxed... finished it off with a nice barbecue...
