Day 19

 (Saturday - 4 August 2007)

Okay, "Gerry, the Plaster Guy" showed up Thursday evening and inspected his work... to see what was left to do and what spots were dry or not.  He was supposed to come back, later that evening but was a "no-show".  As this was a long weekend - Monday was a holiday, he didn't show up during the weekend.  But that was understandable.

Gilbert puttered around and started fixing up the windows, today.

Do you see the vertical (new) piece of wood?  Gilbert was NOT a happy camper. He couldn't buy a plank of wood, the size of this space. Either it would have been too wide or not wide enough - as is the case, here. There was an empty space and he had to fill this crack up with "mud" or plaster.

It needed to dry and then, he had to reapply another coat. And yes, it will have to be sanded down.

Here's another picture of the "crack" that he has to fill in. This one hasn't been done, yet.

I tried to stay out of his way, when he was doing this job. Too many "choice" words were said.

*grin*

Here's a picture of the nice, large board, that he placed.

I should be able to place a few Teddy Bears, there, when all is finished. *s*

Window molding has been placed, too!

Here's a picture of the TOP of the window, where he started to put "mud", in the crack.
