Quilts and sewing projects - completed 2007

Gilbert and I are "Geocachers".

November 2006, I offered to sew up a quilt,

to be sold as a fund raiser for

the Maritime Geocaching Association.

Quilt was finished and ready for their annual "event".

Here's the link on this quilt:

As there was some fabric left over, I decided to make some "GeoDolls", as signature items. When we find a "cache", we leave one of our signature items. *s*

My sister and her hubby had a baby girl, in March. I decided to create an "Ice Cream Cone" quilt.

First time for me - I designed it myself!

My cousin and her husband were expecting a baby. When I had picked up the fabric, I didn't know if it would be a boy or girl. Therefore, I picked up some lovely green/teal fabric.

And let's not forget the "label"!  LOL

I wasn't doing that, when I first started quilting.

Now, I'm trying to do it, faithfully.  *grin*

October 2007

Gilbert needed a new thingy, for his tools and we couldn't find one locally. Found one on the net but it cost a FORTUNE to have it shipped here. So, we put our heads together and created the design to this. I sewed it up, of course. *grin*

Made from red canvas fabric (2 layers). Put some type of "Wunder Under", in between. Then, as it didn't "stick" in some parts, I decided to "quilt" it. *s*

Gilbert had previously cut up a board - plywood, I think - and we went and "hot glued" the fabric, to this piece of wood.

Here's a picture, with his tools in the pockets.

He then went and screwed the board, onto the back of his work table.
