Hi There!

Two pieces of news that I have to share with you…

First - Gilbert and I decided to rent a table for the “Holiday Extravaganza 2011”, to sell some of our quilts. Now, I’m pretty sure that you ladies don’t need to buy any of my quilts but I thought I’d give you the PDF file, for this activity. It’s this Sunday (13th of November) at the Carleton Community Center (West Side) and its 2 bucks to get in. It looks like there’ll be lots of interesting merchants… some even crafty designers, too!  If you have ½ hour or more, on Sunday – drop in!

Also, we’ve just ordered approx. 30 new colors of thread!!!  The order should be here in a week or two.  Can’t wait to audition these new colors on your quilts with you!!!

Quilty Stuff:

Have any of you ever heard of or tried “Inklingo”?

http://inklingo.com/

I have a few of her patterns and her revolutionary technique is incredible!  And she’s from Canada, too!

She has several “patterns” for free.  You upload them to your computer.  Cut a piece of freezer paper – 8-1/2 X 11 inches and iron it to the FRONT of your fabric.  Cut AROUND the freezer paper that’s now temporarily stuck to your fabric, to bring it back to 8-1/2 X 11 inches.  Now, here’s the cool part!   Insert this “sheet” into your printer, open up your inklingo pattern and click “print”!  You’ll now have the pattern pieces on the back of your fabric.

EXCELLENT for hand piecing, although you can machine piece these pieces, as well!   Trust me – try it once and you’ll be hooked!  If you need help, give me a holler – 672-8910.
